Food Safety Mission:

Embassy Flavours actively promotes Food Safety, Health & Safety and product quality by continually reinforcing and improving established policies and procedures in alignment with CFIA and FDA legislation; we actively promote the philosophy that food safety, quality and customer satisfaction are achieved by the involvement and commitment of all employees.

BRC:

Embassy Flavours is pleased to announce its recent certification by the British Retail Consortium (BRC). We are honoured that BRC recognized Embassy’s dedication to excellence in customer satisfaction, quality control and food safety by certifying us with an “A” grade. BRC was the first food safety management standard recognized by Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI); it focuses on safety, quality, legal compliance, operations criteria and risk assessment to develop production control systems. As a member of the GFSI, BRC and their certificate holders are committed to continuous improvement of their food safety standards and BRC programs.

Allergen Control/Gluten Free:

Embassy Flavours applies its uncompromising food safety commitment to its nut free/peanut fee/shellfish free and gluten free product lines. To ensure our products are safe to be enjoyed by people with allergenic sensitivities, we have incorporated robust supplier/ raw material approval programs, strict quality assurance protocols and risk based validation procedures into our BRC program.

Kosher:

Embassy Flavours has partnered with Kashruth Council of Canada and is certified to use theirkosher certification trademark (COR) on our products.  We comply with COR requirements by manufacturing our kosher products with kosher approved raw ingredients and packaging materials.

Halal:

Embassy Flavours has partnered with IFANCA organization and certified to use their Halal certification trademark on our products. We comply with Halal requirements by manufacturing our Halal products with Halal approved raw ingredients and packaging materials.

C-TPAT:

Embassy Flavours is U.S. Customs C-TPAT certified. This certification recognizes that Embassy Flavours is fully committed to complying with C-TPAT’s food security recommendations and guidelines.

X-Ray Technology

To ensure the very highest quality for our bakery ingredients, Embassy Flavours installed new X-ray equipment in January 2011.  This gives us the ability to view every product we ship – inside and out – to clearly identify any problems before they reach our customers.  In addition to detecting metal contaminants, and a wide array of other potential contaminants, it even identifies underweight, overweight or broken packaging so that our customers receive the perfect product every time!
