Food Safety
At Embassy Flavours we ensure that our certifications and standards surpass industry requirements – keeping us on the leading edge of knowledge and food safety.
HACCP ADVANTAGE Certification
In 2004 we moved to our current facility in Brampton, Ontario and achieved HACCP Certification status in 2005. Every aspect of this facility was designed to comply with the very rigorous specifications of HACCP and we have committed to ensuring that we continuously align our quality and allergen control programs with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) HACCP ADVANTAGE Program – certified by the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB).

X-Ray Technology
To ensure the very highest quality for our bakery ingredients, Embassy Flavours installed new X-ray equipment in January 2011. This gives us the ability to view every product we ship – inside and out – to clearly identify any problems before they reach our customers. In addition to detecting metal contaminants, and a wide array of other potential contaminants, it even identifies underweight, overweight or broken packaging so that our customers receive the perfect product every time!
Nut-Free and Shellfish-Free Facility
Unfortunately today there are more than just manufacturing issues involved in food safety. The instance of serious peanut and nut allergies is on the rise with many schools, institutions, offices and other facilities banning products that contain peanuts, peanut oil or other nut traces altogether. At Embassy Flavours, we are a completely nut-free and shellfish-free manufacturing facility thereby ensuring that your food products are safe for everyone to enjoy! Don’t worry though, since we make all of our flavours from base ingredients, we can still deliver amazing peanut, nut and shellfish flavours!
C-TPAT Certification
Embassy is currently in the process of meeting the criteria to become a C-TPAT partner.

What is C-TPAT?
The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) is a voluntary, security oriented initiative to enhance security and expedite cross-border shipments. This program was launched by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and is the benchmark for globalizing security standards. The goal is to identify compliant and trusted import traders who have good supply chain security procedures and controls to reduce screening of their imported cargo.
As a partner, Embassy will be responsible for demonstrating to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that it performs a periodic assessment of its supply chain’s security to identify weaknesses and to mitigate risks and to be responsible for documenting and communicating our supply chain security policies and procedures to all foreign and domestic business partners within our supply chain, from point of origin to final destination.
