Embassy Story
Since 1979, Embassy Flavours has been an innovative business partner manufacturing and distributing products for the food industry. The founder, Giannangelo Brambilla started the family business - then named Embassy Food and Supply Ltd. – to service hotels and restaurants in the Toronto, Ontario area.
Martino Brambilla became owner and President in 1981 at the age of 17. He changed the name of the business to Embassy Food Specialties Ltd. and shifted the primary focus of the business to flavours.
In 1992, the company began developing and manufacturing bakery mixes and bases - increasing its national presence in the bakery industry. The unique strategy of combining expertise in flavour with bakery ingredient formulation and manufacturing was very successful! Following significant growth, Embassy was featured in Profit magazine’s “Profit 100” list of Canada’s fastest growing companies.
In 2004, Embassy moved into a new custom-designed manufacturing facility in Brampton, Ontario just outside of Toronto. The new facility was built to accommodate the exceptional growth that Embassy had experienced and to meet HACCP quality assurance standards. The name was changed to Embassy Flavours Ltd. to more accurately reflect its flavour and bakery capabilities.
In 2010, Embassy expanded internationally into Mexico by exporting technology through a license agreement with Lallemand Mexico, a producer of specialty yeast throughout North America, Mexico and Europe. This agreement provides Lallemand Mexico with the exclusive rights to manufacture and distribute select Embassy mixes throughout Mexico. Lallemand Mexico launched their new Embassy Flavours Bakery product line at the 2010 Mexipan trade fair.
Embassy also provides a range of custom manufactured products for the Middle East, Europe and South Asia. We serve customers in Canada, U.S.A., Mexico, the Middle East, Europe and South Asia.
Embassy Flavours Ltd. continues to grow and today we are a leading manufacturer of customized flavours, bakery mixes, bases and functional ingredients that deliver fabulous tasting products. We service the food industry across a number of sectors including Foodservice, In-store Bakeries, Commercial Bakeries and Food Processors. And, although we specialize in the bakery industry, we also serve the dairy, confectionary and beverage industries with high quality customized products.
